QR Pantry shortlisted for Tech for Good
We’re pleased to share that QR Pantry has been shortlisted in the Tech for Good category of the TechRadar Sustainability Awards 2026.
It’s an encouraging milestone in our work helping households remember and use the food they already have.
What are the TechRadar Sustainability Awards?
The awards are run by TechRadar, the consumer technology publication, with sustainability specialists Seismic supporting the review of entries and judging.
They recognise practical progress in sustainability across technology: how products are made and used, how materials are reused or recovered, and the effect on people and the environment. Businesses are asked to support their entries with documentation, data and other relevant evidence.
What does Tech for Good mean?
Tech for Good focuses on technology that addresses social, environmental and humanitarian challenges and creates positive change in people’s lives.
TechRadar asks entrants to demonstrate their progress through evidence such as impact metrics, feedback and case studies. The criteria also allow smaller businesses to share early indicators while their evidence develops.
For QR Pantry, the challenge we’re working on is household food waste: helping food stay visible once it’s been put away, so there’s a better chance it gets used.
What our entry focused on
Give your containers a memory.
Leftovers in the fridge. A meal in the freezer. Rice tipped into a jar. Once the packaging is gone, the details can be easy to forget.
QR Pantry brings reusable QR labels, food tracking and reminders together. A label connects an ordinary container to the app, where you can save what’s inside, where it lives and when it needs using.
Scan the label to bring those details back, or check the app before cooking or shopping. Reminders help you keep track of the dates you’ve saved.
When the container is refilled, update the record and use the same label again. It works with the containers you already own.
Our submission focused on this everyday use, supported by early usage data and customer feedback.
