For the bags in your fridge and freezer.
A paper-based label made to grip freezer bags, zip bags and vac-sealed bags. Stick one on, scan it, and your phone remembers what’s in the bag and when to use it by, so nothing gets lost at the back of the freezer.
- 126 labels a pack, about 16 cents each
- Paper-based and freezer safe, made to hold on plastic bags and film
- Not recommended for reuse, or for the dishwasher or microwave
- Works with the free QR Pantry app. Pro is optional
Mince, stock, marinated chicken, bread, berries and this week’s prep, dated and found without a guess. About five seconds to save, a second to check.
The bag knows what it is. Your phone knows when to use it.
A date scrawled on a freezer bag tells you nothing three months later. A QR Pantry label tells you everything you saved, from your phone, before you open the drawer.
Meat, fish & mince
Bag it, label it, freeze it. Scan later to see what it is, when it went in and when to use it by.
Meal prep bags
A week of lunches in zip bags or vac-sealed bags, each one named and dated without a marker pen.
Stock, soup & sauces
Flat-frozen bags of stock and bolognese, labelled on the plastic itself. No container to wash afterwards.
Bread, fruit & bulk buys
Split a bulk buy into portions, label each bag, and the app keeps count of what’s left.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by the people using our reusable labels.
The freezer bag labels run on the app and the reminders our reusable labels use, rated 4.9 out of 5 across more than 70 verified reviews. The label is different, made to grip cold plastic; what your phone remembers is the same.
“There will no longer be items from 1998 in the bottom of the freezer.”
“Over the years it’s been such a frustrating exercise pulling mysterious meals from the freezer. But not any more with these fabulous QR codes. I love them, especially the warning that they are about to expire.”
Pamela, verified buyer, August 2026
Stick it on, scan it, and it’s saved.
Each label ties one bag to your phone. Scan to check what it is, and tap once when it’s eaten.
1. Stick
Press a label onto the plain plastic of a clean, dry bag, away from any printing, before it goes in the freezer.
2. Scan
Scan the QR code with your phone. There’s no app to download.
3. Save
Name it, date it, add a photo or a note if you like. A reminder arrives before it’s due.
4. Eat
When the bag’s empty, tap Used up and it’s off your list.
Made for bags, not for containers.
These labels are made to hold on a cold plastic bag, which the reusable polyester label was never designed for. They’re paper-based rather than plastic, which suits a label that stays with one bag. They’re not recommended for reuse, and not dishwasher or microwave safe.
If you label jars, containers and boxes you keep and wash, choose the Smart Pantry, Fridge and Freezer Labels. If you label bags, this is the pack. Plenty of households use both.
Smart Pantry, Fridge and Freezer Labels
For containers you keep: jars, boxes and meal prep containers. Dishwasher safe in the top drawer, microwave safe for reheating, freezer safe. The same label is refilled again and again in the app, and every label is numbered, so a household never gets two the same.
Smart Freezer Bag and Meal Prep Labels
For bags: freezer bags, zip bags, vac-sealed bags and cling film. Paper-based, freezer safe, made to grip plastic, and not recommended for reuse.

Filling a labelled item from its barcode, and pairing a label with food you’ve already saved, are part of QR Pantry Pro. Saving food on a freshly scanned label is free on every tier.
No app required.
Scan a label and QR Pantry opens in your phone’s browser. There’s an app for iPhone and Android too, if you’d rather.
Plain plastic, room temperature, then the freezer.
Put the label straight onto the plain plastic, not over a printed strip or the white write-on panel, where it may not bond. Apply it at room temperature to a clean, dry bag, press it firmly from the middle outwards, then freeze. A label pressed onto a bag that’s already frozen may not hold, whatever it’s made of. Keep the QR code flat and uncreased so it scans first time through frost.
Questions before you buy?
Which labels should I choose, the reusable pack or the freezer bag pack?
Choose the Smart Pantry, Fridge and Freezer Labels for containers you keep and wash: jars, boxes and meal prep containers. They are dishwasher and microwave safe, and the same label is refilled again and again in the app.
Choose the Smart Freezer Bag and Meal Prep Labels for freezer bags, zip bags, vac-sealed bags and cling film. They are freezer safe and made to grip plastic, and when the bag is empty one tap takes the item off your list. They are not recommended for reuse, and they are not dishwasher or microwave safe. Many households use both: reusable labels on the containers, freezer bag labels on the bags.
Where on a freezer bag should the label go?
Straight onto the plain plastic, on a part of the bag with no printing. Many freezer bags carry a white write-on panel or a printed brand strip, and a label stuck over either may not bond properly and can lift in the freezer. Choose a flat, clear area, apply at room temperature to a clean, dry bag, press from the middle outwards, and keep the QR code flat and uncreased so it scans first time through frost. The same goes for zip bags, vac-sealed bags and cling film.
Are QR Pantry labels freezer safe?
Yes, both lines. The Smart Pantry, Fridge and Freezer Labels are rated for use down to −20°C, which covers a normal domestic freezer. The Smart Freezer Bag and Meal Prep Labels are made for exactly this: their adhesive holds on freezer bags, zip bags and film, which the reusable label was never designed for. Apply either kind at room temperature to a clean, dry surface before freezing, rather than to a bag or container that is already frozen. Adhesive does not bond well to a cold surface, so a label pressed onto frozen packaging may not hold. On a bag, put the label straight onto the plain plastic, away from any printing or write-on panel.
Do I need QR Pantry Pro to use the labels?
No. The free QR Pantry app includes everything you need to start: scanning, expiry dates, push notification reminders, barcode scanning from a catalogue of over 1 million products, a photo on each item, notes, a shopping list, a recipe book and a meal plan for this week. Pro is optional and adds email reminders, AI photo recognition, receipt scanning, automatic barcode fill, one-tap store links, bulk adding, more food and storage images, meal planning weeks ahead, and exports.
Do the labels stop working if I do not subscribe?
No. The labels work with the free QR Pantry app indefinitely; there is no subscription requirement. QR Pantry Pro is an optional upgrade, not a condition of use.
Do I need to install an app?
No. QR Pantry runs in your phone's browser, so you can scan and go with nothing to install. An Android app is available on Google Play, and an iPhone app on the App Store.
